Although Border Collies will always be my first love, I have long had an admiration for Australian Shepherds. They are certainly a different breed than BCs, but bring their own rewards to their owners. Although I am co-breeder on Dame, this will be the first home-bred Aussie litter for me. I am quite excited. Our plan is to breed her to "Tap" Ch Riverun's Riverdance, if all goes well. Dame has just had her hips done, and they look normal on examination, but we await the OFA report. Once she's had her litter, we hope to get her back in shape in 2004 and get her out into the showring for her championship. |
