Daily is one of our founding stars.  She is a wonderful dog to live with, but full of spunk and fire.  She is the dam of several Darkwind champions such as Finnegan, Rio, Vegas, Travis, and Zephyr.  Daily was bred by Sue Large of the renown kennel "Wizaland" in Great Britain.  Her lineage reflects the best of Clan-Abby (New Zealand) mixed with some of Great Britain's premier home-bred lines.

Affectionately known as "Daily Trouble" Daily rules her own kingdom here at Darkwind  She is OFA Excellent on her hips, with normal thyroid and elbows.  She is CERF certified and has never produced any hereditary eye disease.  For her last litter, scheduled sometime in late 2002, we will be using our grand old man, Barney.  For the present, we are very proud she is the grand-dam of our very  beautiful litters from 2001,  Tippy to Barney and Finnegan to Abby.

If you have managed to follow the pedigree this far, then you have traced the Australasian influences all the way back to Victoria, Australia.  Darkwind lines have been heavily influenced by the great kennels of Victoria in a well-planned, thoughtfully considered way.  We find the Victorian lines to be elegant, with beautiful typey heads, good movement and for the most part, not too short in leg, and not too long in body.  We believe the breed should always retain the appearance and the instinct found in the breed in Great Britian.  We are not trying to breed show dogs, but rather well balanced typey Border Collies.    We hope you have enjoyed this detailed look into the lineage of one of the foundation stars of our kennel.  For more information about the dogs behind our dogs, visit our salute to Australia!  Home.
